Health and Fitness Class Time Table
Core Stability
With the emphasis on core muscles, this class will focus on improving posture, balance
and strength endurance of the abdominals, back and legs. Your core consists of your
spine, diaphragm, abdominals and pelvic floor muscles. Using floor exercises, stability
balls and weights, it is a fun class for all abilities.
Spin
is a high intensity cardiovascular workout thats also fun to do! You will do a 45
minute workout to up beat music and it not only helps your heart and lungs but also
tones and works your muscles. It is a great overall body workout.
Body Blitz
combines hi and lo cardio aerobic routines with strength and endurance exercises
to burn fat and increase your fitness. The class may include Aerobics, Step, and
Weights.
Pilates
focuses on the postural muscles which help keep the body balanced and provide support
for the spine. Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the
spine and aim to strengthen the deep torso muscles.
Running Club
Instructor led run around the local area, classes may include distance, hills and
speed training. A fun, enjoyable class outside of the gym, meet new people and get
fit at the same time.
Yoga
is a thorough workout which exercises the mind and body using concentration, meditation
and relaxation to complete a yoga pose which helps to increase flexibility, strength
and inner calm. Can help to reduce stress.
Total Body Workout
targets all major muscle groups and includes everything from straight set workouts
to circuit training. Its an intense workout but well worth it and lots of fun.
Boxercise
an effective form of cross training which combines both aerobic and anaerobic energy.
Its a great form of stress relief and ensures a diverse workout. Its great at improving
sports specific senses which include hand-eye coordination, balance and timing.
The class is fun, energetic and very addictive.
Salsacise
based around Salsa music, it helps you get fit; improve posture, balance and coordination.
Its fun, enjoyable and you get to meet new people and show off your dance moves.
Bums & Tums
A fun energetic workout targeting all those problem areas including legs, bum, tums
and arms using a series of toning exercises.
Abs Blast
an intense workout concentrating on the abdominal muscles strengthening and tightening
them with a range of different floor based exercises. Its fun, energetic and floor
mats are provided.
Step
an enjoyable, fast paced class thats high intensity with low impact to the joints.
It gives you a great cardiovascular workout leaving you feeling rejuvenated.
Full Body Challenge
focuses on challenging fitness and weight loss. It provides the key tools needed
to get into shape, shed excess pounds and find the healthier you inside.
Body Conditioning
this class concentrates on toning and technique rather than intensity; classes usually
include hand weights, resistance bands, tubes or body bars to increase intensity
or effect. This class is for all levels of fitness.
Circuits
a combination of cross training workouts with short challenging periods of resistance,
flexibility and cardiovascular exercise at timed stations.
Box Fit (Free Kids class)
a non contact, fun workout for UNDER 18s designed around what Ricky would do in
his training.
Body Sculpt
A Pump style class using weights to increase muscle tone and strength. Targeting
problem areas and improving core stability.
