Joe Murray came through a tough test against late stand-in Barrington Brown, wining by a TKO in the second. ‘Genius’ Joe showed his amateur pedigree in the first round, moving on his toes and pot-shotting Brown.
A sharp right midway through the second stunned Brown, and another shortly after had the Nottingham man in all kinds of trouble. Murray landed his right hook to the temple of Brown as he was shaping up to throw to the body.
Murray pushed him back onto the ropes, and picking his punches expertly forced the stoppage at 2 minutes 10 of the second.
