Hatton TV is proud to bring you the pick of the action from one of the best amateur shows of the year. Tyne Tees & Wear took on London ABA at Newbiggin Sports Centre on Saturday 13th June as part of an new concept of inter-regional matches.
Organiser Paul Scott came up with the idea of creating the Tyne Tees Wear Association Belt. At a show in September 2008, two boxers in each weight group boxed and won the area belt. Since then, the belts in each weight group have been defended, won, lost and retained in some classic amateur boxing contests, all around the Tyne Tees Wear area. The title contests have topped the bill on many normal club shows, and gave the show a talking point for weeks afterwards.
Now the TT&W Association belt holders took on London's nominated champions. It turned out to be quite a night. Commentary comes from Steve Holdsworth & Phil Duffell
