Lenny Daws retains his British title

Lenny Daws is still British light-welterweight champion after forcing  Steve Williams to retire after ten bruising rounds at York Hall, Bethnal Green.

Williams suffered cuts above both eyes as Daws dominated the middle rounds against Williams who was hoping to win the title in only his tenth professional fight. But at the end of the tenth round, Williams decided not to continue and Daws retained his belt.
