Martin Murray meets the Dark Destroyer

Martin Murray took pride of place alongside the Dark Destroyer, Nigel Benn at The Palace Hotel, Manchester on Saturday night.

Benn, the former WBO Middleweight World Champion and WBC Super Middleweight World Champion, who now lives in Majorca, has followed the career of the Saint Helens boxer as he rises through the Middlweight rankings.

For Murray, winner of the 2008 Prizefighter middleweight series, though, it was a chance to meet one of his boxing heroes. He ranks the Benn v McLellan war amongst the greatest fights he has ever seen. Hopefully under the guidance of Hattton Promotions it is only a matter of time before Martin lands a title of his own.
