Paul Smith won the battle of Liverpool against Tony Dodson to retain his British Super Middleweight title. Smith survived two cuts in the early rounds but stayed the distance to win an unanimous decision.
On the same show Kell Brook stopped Krzysztof Bienias to win the WBO Intercontinental Welterweight title. The referee called a halt in the 6th round.
